Question by soul_mateys: How do I grow a small vegetable/salad garden?
I really need to find a good resource that will help me to grow a very small vegetable garden on a budget. Any books or websites out there for the novice gardener?

Better homes and gardens. Walmart stocks veggie seeds for 10 - 30 cents.

Question by shooter: What are my options for amending the soil in my small vegetable garden?
I have a small vegetable garden and I used manure last year and my garden did not do so well.Is there something better I could use. The garden is about 3'x 12' and I grow tomatoes,beans,peppers,and onions. Is there something better then manure or is there something else I could add with the manure to get a better results.

Get your soil tested........or buy a test kit and DIY........most garden centers have them. It will tell you what type of fertilizer you need.
